  12. The problem was caused by "obtainbetterpens" V0.1 from 
  13. Aminet. The solution is "obtainbetterpens" V0.2 from Aminet.
  14. Thanks to its author, Petter Nilsen, who wrote back to me
  15. very quickly and told me to get the newer version, which I did.
  16. Prefs:palette no longer crashes. :)
